What do you do when your maternity session is planned in January but you don’t want to shiver out in the cold for pictures? Go indoors! Kelsey and Cal love plants and greenery, and since there isn’t much of that outside in Ohio this time of year, we opted to do portraits at Rockefeller Park Greenhouse, near the Cleveland Cultural Gardens. Rockefeller Park Greenhouse is like a miniature botanical garden, and it was toasty enough inside that we left our winter coats in our cars!

There is something truly special about capturing multiple major life events for the same clients. From smitten sweethearts to about-to-be parents, I was there for Kelsey and Cal’s epic journey from “I do” to “we’re expecting!” Despite the chilly air outside, inside, it was a cozy cocoon of love and growth, a perfect symbol for the adventure awaiting this amazing duo.

It’s moments like these that remind me of the extraordinary magic hidden in life’s simplest moments.
